Beer Lineup

Breweries are still finalizing the beers they intend to send an in some cases are actually designing beers around local ingredients which have never been shared before.

You can also expect a number of special releases in our on-site retail shop, including collaboration beers. Special releases will be exclusively available to festival attendees on the day of the festival. Should any stock remain, they will be released to the general public in the days after the festival.

Merch

Limited edition Rooted In Place t-shirts, tote bags and posters will be available for pre-order when purchasing your ticket. A very small number of t-shirts, bags and posters will be available on site the day of the festival.

Outstanding Food

We will have a selection of delicious local food for sale on-site. Vendors will be accepting cash and/or card. There will not be an ATM on site. Food vendors will be announced in January.

Getting To And From The Festival

Please, do not drive! A FREE shuttle bus will depart from Blair LRT Station (Telesat park and ride parking lot on the south side of the Queensway) beginning at 10:00am to Canotek Road, and will run continuously until the last person has left the second session. The bus will depart Blair Station approximately every 25 minutes. Volunteers will be at Blair Station at the beginning of each session to provide you with shuttle information. The brewery is also easily accessible by taxi, Uber and Lyft services.

Notes On All-Inclusive Format

Rooted In Place follows an all-inclusive model, which means no tokens are required to sample a beer. This is a common approach to festivals we've attended and enjoyed both here in Canada and abroad. It dramatically improves the flow, wait time, and overall enjoyment of the event. Within this format there are no restrictions on the beer you choose to drink, as long as you are drinking responsibly.

Drinking responsibly: Rooted in Place will be staffed with SmartServe certified servers to ensure people are drinking responsibly. While we don’t anticipate we’ll have issues with overconsumption, we must stress that anyone visibly intoxicated cannot legally be served.

Session length: Each session is 4 hours long, which means there is plenty of time to sample beers for as many vendors as you like.

Venue: The festival takes place at our brewery, both inside the taproom and production area, as well as under large, enclosed outdoor heated tents, which means you’re covered snow or shine.
